The rule is to allow generic prayer requests to support our members in need and to allow discussions of religious (any denomation)holidays as they relate to American Girl.
Since we just celebrated Easter and Passover, there have been several Christian and Jewish religious topics. Now that those holidays are over, that should be done with. Halloween, Thanksgiving, 4th of July and other holiday discussions and topics are allowed as many people dress up their dolls for these ocassions. Some of these holidays are tied to a religion and some are not.
We know this system is not perfect, but we do try to moderate religious signatures and other religious debates. The moderating team also does a lot of behind the scenes work with members so you may see something against our rules, but we are probably working with the person to change it through PM and e-mail communication.
The overall rule is to use good judgement and to post topics that are suitable for all ages.

Shortly after i joined i asked a question about
certain ebay auctions and was reprimanded by a moderator. The post was locked because it mentioned something of a spiritual nature. Yet i see posts that contain religious stuff all the time. Is it only certain things that are banned? Is it ok to post something Christian but not something Pagan? I'm confused.

I don't want to see this get into a huge arguement, but I was also bothered by that, and PMed one of the mods.
It didn't seem fair to me that some things were allowed, and others not. It was explained to me, among other things, that this is an all ages board, and sometimes things like that don't fall under all ages. I remember the thread you made, and didn't think it seemed bad, as it was just a discussion on something simple, that comes up in fairy tales even, and I didn't see it as a Pagan topic in the least, but I can see how some of the mods could see that it might lead into above G rated discussions.
In thinking about it more recently, I think there are topics that come up that "cater" to all religions. The Christian side, prayer requests, discussion of Christian holidays, and the like. But, the mods also allow topics about Halloween (which I'm sure bother some people), and Harry Potter, which I remember someone saying bothered them, although I think most of us would agree that HP has nothing to do with religion, and banning that would be going a "bit" far.
Personally, I think there's a happy medium, and don't want to see religious topics come up more frequently than they do, unless all religions are allowed, and even then, we don't need to flood the board with religious topics, we have enough fun AG stuff, that everyone here loves, to talk about .
